TYKES, Sutherland’s only charity for young carers, is looking to expand its small Board of Directors.
Being a director is a hugely rewarding and interesting voluntary appointment. The role is not overly time consuming and meeting timings are always arranged to suit busy people.
Directors meet about four times a year and are responsible for the overall direction of the charity. Directors are generally invited to sit on one or more working groups which meet on a case by case basis. It is desirable if applicants have recent experience in a managerial, financial or commercial position.
No formal qualifications are required, merely a sense of service to our community, and very importantly, to our children.
If you are interested in becoming a director of TYKES, or perhaps know of someone who might enjoy the role, please contact either Catherine MacCulloch at [email protected] or Patrick Marriott at [email protected] or encourage them to consider applying.
